Founder and CEO of Elegance By Marivic LLC.  Marivic is a Member-Certified by American Academy of Wedding Professionals since 2009.  She was convinced there must be a better, more professional way to plan weddings to make them elegant and easy.  So she become very committed to provide brides and grooms with an effective strategy to plan their weddings without undue stress, aggravation, and unnecessary legwork. Elegance By Marivic has been the proud Sponsor and Organizer of the Blacksburg Bridal Expo for 3 years in a row, that started in the Fall of 2010.  Marivic is also the organizer and founder of NRV Bridals and Events, an established non-profit organization in the New River Valley, Virginia.  They provide networking opportunities to members of the local NRV Wedding & Special Event Professionals.

Libby has been involved in the wedding industry for  more than 10 years.  She started in the Food & Beverage Industry  serving weddings and banquets.  She then worked as an Event Coordinator  at a Golf Course in Fredericksburg, Virginia planning events and  weddings.  Libby has been in the hotel industry since 2009 where one of her many duties is planning wedding ceremonies, rehearsal dinners and receptions.  She has worked at a Hilton Garden Inn and helped open the Brand New Holiday Inn in Christiansburg.  She loves event planning  and building long lasting relationships with the brides to be and everyone else involved. Libby and Marivic had been working together on several exciting events in the area, including organizing the 2010 Blacksburg Bridal Expo and currently working together as board members at the NRV Bridalas and Events, Inc.

Barbara had met Marivic about a week before Marivic's 2010 Blacksburg Bridal Expo, and since then they both had been involved with several weddings and special events planning together.  Barbara currently serves as Co-Organizer with Marivic for the NRV Weddings and Special Events Professionals, a local MeetUp group that they both organized in the beginning of 2011.  This MeetUp group started from 8 members and now had grown to about 30+ members.  To learn more about this MeetUp group, please visit our MeetUp website and also Like us on facebook.

Barbara is the founder and CEO of SoCrystal.com and currently serves as the PR & Marketing Coordinator of Elegance By Marivic LLC.  Barbara discovered that although many companies sell Swarovski Crystal, not many sell the crystals for an affordable price.  She calls this line of jewelry "Affordable Bling".  Barbara is a wonderful addition to our fast growing company.

Charity is originally from a small town called Amherst, Virginia. She has lived in the New River Valley now for a total of seven years and truly admires the area and all it has to offer! Charity is a 2008 graduate of Radford University where she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice and a Minor in Psychology. Since graduating, Charity has worked with the Montgomery County Commonwealth Attorney’s office as a Victim/Witness Coordinator for Blacksburg.

Charity has greatly enjoyed working in the law field, but has always had a keen interest in the wedding and event-planning field. In order to gain hands-on experience, Charity reached out to Marivic for an internship position at the beginning of the 2011 wedding season. She spends a great deal of her personal time researching the abundant amount of local and statewide vendors and venues. She thoroughly enjoys the design and decorating aspect of the field and often finds herself clicking and saving the ideas she comes across on wedding blogs and web sites. She wishes to pursue appropriate certifications in Wedding and Event Planning, to make the field a career in the near future. Charity would like to express how excited she is to have the opportunity to learn and that she is ready                                                 to help, the Elegance by Marivic team, make some lovely brides and clients happy!

Sara was born in Radford, Virginia and has grown up in Christiansburg, Virginia. She will be a graduating senior in college where she currently attends Radford University, leading to her degree of Bachelor of Business Administration. Her career goal is to become an Event Planner focusing on Weddings and Special Events. She looks forward to learning everything she can from Marivic Gallimore and her outstanding business and local networking opportunities that she has created.  We're very thrilled to have Sara joined us in 2011 as our student intern, and in 2012 as our Executive Assistant.

Shannon Ainsley is a professional photographer with over 16 years of experience in her field. Before moving to the beautiful NRV in 2007, she lived in Pensacola, FL where she began her career in photography, photographing weddings on the most beautiful white sand beaches. She has photographed numerous weddings, Marine Corp Balls and other special events. Shannon can help with planning all photographic aspects of your special day from timing of the most important bride and groom portraits to going away candid to the album after your wedding. With her experience, creativity & passion for designs, you are surely to have photographic memories of your wedding or event for years to come. Shannon also owns and operates Always and Forever Photo, a full service studio and is a very active member of the NRV Bridals and Events.  Her latest accomplishment, joy of having her passion put to work, being directly involve with weddings, project designs and bridal expos for Elegance By Marivic LLC.
